Zelo.Integrator is an expandable digital platform, currently in prototype phase, built around data message broker, supporting various use cases within MES and SCADA domain, or manufacturing OT/IT integration scope in general:
disparate control systems integrations
manufacturing process quality assurance
advanced SCADA functionalities (automated procedures, historian, ML, AI,...)
integration of control systems with various IT systems (ERP, MES, LIMS...)
development of bespoke SCADA and MES systems
It provides reliable transfer of large data sets, at high speeds with low latencies.
Thanks to its ease of use, it can be utilized by various roles in manufacturing process:
quality assurance engineers
process technology engineers
control system engineers
system integrators
Control engineers own process knowledge and keep it in PLC programs. When process data is required by supervising or managing IT systems, only control engineers can identify it in their PLC programs. In order to fulfill such request, they must be provided with a tool to do so. The tool which is adjusted to them, to their way of working and thinking: Zelo.Integrator.
Early industrial automation relied on hardwired relays, timers, and counters, which were reliable but difficult to modify. The introduction of PLCs in the late 1960s replaced physical wiring with programmable logic. Crucially, PLCs used ladder logic programming—a visual style that closely mirrored the relay schematics electrical engineers were already familiar with. This design choice allowed control engineers to migrate to PLCs comfortably, as they were essentially working in the same way but within a modernized, software-based environment.
Today, as automation systems integrate with IT platforms like SCADA, MES, and cloud services, the complexity of these environments often requires specialized IT expertise. However, just as ladder logic empowered electrical engineers to take ownership of automation without needing deep programming skills, modern control engineers should also be able to manage and extend IT/OT integrations if given the right tools.
With Zelo.Integrator's user interface mirroring PLC functional blocks, which is intuitive to control engineers, they can perform tasks traditionally reserved for IT specialists, ensuring smoother integration, faster innovation, and better alignment with operational needs.
